The things we believe in

Here at MOS we believe in change. We know that even smallest daily actions have a huge impact on the world around us. We also know how hard it can be to be a conscious consumer. Sometimes ethical and sustainable products are expensive and hard to come across. This is why we created MOS. We want to make sustainable fashion more accessible.

But why choose slow fashion?

We care about slow fashion because we care about the environment and our fellow humans. The fast fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world. Cheap synthetic fibres, largely used by fast fashion brands, also emit gasses like N2O, which is 300 times more damaging than CO2. Also fast fashion is designed to be replaced quickly. Cheap clothing literally falls apart ending up in landfills in no time. Fast fashion companies don’t treat their workers properly: they have to work long hours in unsafe working conditions and they don't make enough money to support themselves and their families. Those company often use child labour and slave labour.

Wages and working conditions

Made in Italy is not just a label, it is a symbol of quality, tradition and craftsmanship. Here in Italy good working conditions are granted by the current legislation and companies are able to directly control the real working conditions.

Fabrics

We sell only vegan items made of sustainable and organic certified fabrics or deadstock and vintage materials. We at MOS hate waste that’s way we make sure our products are so high quality that they could last a lifetime and may even be passed down from one generation to the next.

Our team

We are a small business: for now it’s just the two of us: a soon-to-wed vegan couple working towards a greener future. 

Our warehouse

Here at our warehouse we use LED lightning and most of our furniture is thrifted, the remaining part is made in Italy and made of natural materials such as wood or recyclable ones like steel. We use organic cleaning products, recycled pens and paper and we always recycle.

Packaging

Our packaging is plastic-free and made from 100% recycled paper products.

MOS – Our Clothing Line

Respect: that's our priority. We respect the environment, the people we work with and our clients. We show our respect by making well-designed, and long-lasting garments. All of our clothes are designed, cut and sew locally in our hometown, Ischia, by a skilled local artisan who shares our desire to make to elegant, practical and comfortable garments using only high quality organic cotton and deadstock natural fibres.

By favouring timeless styles, we create seasonless clothes pieces that can be worn in many different ways. We want to help our clients build a minimal and functional wardrobe because we want people to learn to fall in love again with their clothes, not to see them simply as disposable items, not worthy of care and passing on.

Our clothes say a lot about us, they speak for us before we have a chance to say any words. They are a physical manifestation of our mood, needs, aspirations and ultimately our values. By wearing our clothes you’ll be showing your respect for craftsmanship, our fellow humans, all of the animals and this Earth we all share.
